Reports from Solomon Islands say dogs entering the Honiara International Airport runway are endangering aircraft and passengers.
The Solomon Star newspaper says as a result Fiji's Air Pacific is reluctant to use the airport at night.
The controller of civil aviation Bill McGregor admits there is a problem but says his division, with the help of police, is working to contain it.
