Fiji's interim Prime Minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama, says there is no threat to free speech in Fiji.
Speaking to the National Council of Building a Better Fiji, he said media coverage might lead people to think there was such a threat.
He also says he is frustrated with journalists who ask naive and negative questions.
His comments come a month after the publisher of the Fiji Sun newspaper was deported for being a risk to public security.
