South Sydney and Manly with NRL wins

11:17 am on 6 August 2012

South Sydney extended their National Rugby League winning streak to six matches and retained second spot on the ladder with a 22-18 win over the Gold Coast Titans at Skilled Park yesterday.

Gold Coast's loss completed a Queensland shut-out in round 22 after Manly edged North Queensland 8-6 in Townsville on Saturday night and the Raiders beat Brisbane 28-12 in Canberra yesterday.

While the win consolidated Souths' spot in second place, the Titans will drop out of the eight if the Wests Tigers beat Parramatta tonight.
