4.8 magnitude quake felt in Hawke's Bay

A strong earthquake has been felt in southern Hawke's Bay this evening.

The 4.8 magnitude quake struck just after 7pm and was centred south of Porangahau, at a depth of 15km.

People all around the North Island have reported feeling the quake, with some near the epicentre saying they felt strong shaking.
