Samoan cinema owner continues fight against movie ban

09:37 am on 21 June 2006

The Manager of Samoa's only cinema has continued to fight the decision banning public screenings of the Da Vinci Code.

The manager, Maposua Rudolf Keil, says he has been stopped from showing the movie but a local commercial Television station has broadcast documentaries on the plot of "The Da Vinci Code".

He also alleges that video shops are renting out pirated DVDs and VHS tapes of the film.

Maposua says said he returned the movie to New Zealand on 9th June.

But on the 11th June LAU TV broadcast the documentary.

He said all he's asking is that everyone be governed by the ban.
