A master carver of Rotorua's Te Puia says the government's latest 7.6 million dollar investment will allow them to keep the art of whakairo alive. Clive Fugill was part of the NZ Maori Arts and Crafts Institute's first intake back in 1967, and is now a teacher there. He told Te Aniwa Hurihanganui the money has come at a time that will ease much anxiety.
