A diarrhoea outbreak in Vanuatu has killed one child and hospitalised several others, with some in critical condition.
Vila Central Hospital head of paediatrics said the outbreak started three weeks ago in Port Vila and the ward is having to reshuffle rooms to make space for patients.
Annette Garae told a local newspaper that more than 100 patients have been seen for diarrhoea and vomiting, and one in five has been admitted for treatment.
Northern Provincial Hospital in Santo said its children's ward is starting to fill up as well.
