Norfolk Island can cope with shortages - administrator

05:01 am on 16 March 2020

The Norfolk Island administrator is stressing the island will not run out of food.

Eric Hutchinson was responding to reports of major shortages in supermarkets and other businesses due to a reduced shipping service.

Norfolk Island lacks the facilities to unload containers, yet almost all imports these days are containerised.

Mr Hutchinson told Don Wiseman that visitors to Norfolk will not go hungry.
