A film about Bougainville has won the top prize at the Pacific Documentary Film Festival in Tahiti.
The film Ophir is the work of Frenchmen Alexander Berman and Olivier Pollet tracing the Papua New Guinea region's recent history to last year's independence referendum.
The special prize of the jury went to New Zealander Heperi Mita for the film Merata: How Mom Decolonised The Screen.
The film The Australian Dream directed by Daniel Gordon won the prize of the public.
