It appears from a leaked document that Fiji's former Minister for Health was found to have engaged in corrupt conduct by the country's Independent Commission Against Corruption's investigation
Bridget Tunnicliffe took a look at the files which incriminate Dr Neil Sharma:
"The excerpts posted on Fijileaks website don't show exactly when the investigation took place but they relate to a contract that was awarded in 2011. Radio New Zealand International is seeking confirmation from the anti-corruption agency that the documents are authentic. A passage says Dr Sharma manipulated a tender process in order to ensure that it was awarded to Hospital Engineering and Consultancy Ltd. It says in October 2011 Dr Sharma released confidential tender documents to the company's owner Vashu Devan. It found the minister abused his authority on another occasion and the Commission recommends he be charged among other things with conspiracy and abuse of office."
