Hip hop superstar Travis Scott is bringing his record-breaking show to Auckland in October.
Scott, who shares two children with former girlfriend, reality TV star Kylie Jenner, is known for his sense-exploding audio-visual shows.
The Circus Maximum Tour at Auckland's Eden Park is scheduled for 31 October and will be Scott's first NZ performance.
Fans were left fuming in 2016 when the US rapper cancelled his performance days before the event.
Local fans have reacted in disbelief that the rapper is finally coming to NZ.
"Nz is ready," wrote one Instagram user on Scott's Instagram post announcing the show.
TikTok users begged other fans not to jinx the announcement, with some predicting October's show would again be cancelled.
Scott is currently on the European leg of his tour, which saw 44 sold-out shows across North America in 2023. The tour is off the back of his critically acclaimed Utopia album.
Presale tickets start on 29 July and general ticket sales open 2 August. Australian shows were also announced for Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
One 2021 show in Texas turned into a fatal crowd crush that caused the death of ten concertgoers. A US court declined to charge Scott or the festival organisers for the deaths.
