A man has been charged with murdering a 48-year-old woman, who was discovered dead at her home in the New Plymouth suburb of Vogeltown today.

Police said in a statement the woman's body was found about 2pm.
A 48-year-old man was taken into custody at the scene, and has been charged with her murder, police said.
He is due to appear in New Plymouth District Court tomorrow.
No one else is being sought, police said.
Police have launched a homicide investigation and will remain at the scene where they will carry out a scene investigation.
Police said they were working to support the woman's family.
