Police are investigating a threatening email that resulted in a school on the Northern Marianas island of Saipan being placed on lockdown this week.
A shooting threat resulted in the shutdown on Wednesday with the student responsible for the action facing possible expulsion.
Police were sent to Kagman High School after the school principal reportedly received a threat from a student.
The school was searched for weapons but nothing was found and the all clear was given.
The student that allegedly sent the threatening message said his email was hacked.
