Auckland ratepayers will continue to pay for a financial lifeline for Eden Park stadium, but there are calls for changes to how it runs.

The stadium - the country's largest - is owned by a trust board but its $40 million debt is underwritten by the council and it can't afford to pay for future upgrades.
Auckland Council has renewed the loan guarantee, needed since the big 2011 Rugby World Cup rebuild, which the government contributed $200m towards.
The trust board and council said the stadium's small profit wouldn't fund the next rebuild, possibly 10 to 15 years away.
Councillor John Watson said it was a national stadium and the government needed to get more involved.
Councillor Chris Darby wanted direct council control by the time decisions were needed on rebuilding, or re-locating.
