Vanuatu has only received about one-seventh of the aid for Tropical Cyclone Harold as it did when Cyclone Pam hit the country in 2015.

Cyclone Harold devastated the north of the island nation when it hit in April, causing damage on a similar scale to that experienced during Pam five years ago.

But World Vision's Vanuatu director, Kendra Gates Derousseau, told Māni Dunlop that this time around, they're expecting a major shortfall in the aid they require to get the ravaged communities back on their feet.
