One person has died in a crash in the Tararua District between Woodville and Dannevirke.
Police said the crash scene was discovered just before 6am on Sunday, but the collision may have happened overnight.
It was at the intersection of Kearney Road and Top Grass Road, and the road would stay closed while a scene examination was carried out.
