The Herald is reporting the woman, who has name suppression, is charged with sexual conduct with a person under 16, exposing a person to indecent material as well as two charges of supplying cannabis to someone under the age of 18.

The deputy chief executive services for children and families at Oranga Tamariki, Alison McDonald, said the allegations are deeply upsetting and that the staff member has been suspended while they conduct their own internal review.

Oranga Tamariki is working with the young person and their family, Ms McDonald said.

The 34-year-old woman was arrested by police this week and will appear in the Waitākere District Court later this month.
