The Independent Music NZ Classic Record award, which acknowledges a defining record from our past, was given out at the Taite Music Prize ceremony this week.
This year it was for a mini album released in 1981 - Whats' Be Happen?, by pioneering pacific reggae group Herbs. Emma Smith spoke to Herbs manager and concert promoter Hugh Lynn, along with bassist on the EP Phil Toms.
