Tuu'u Anasi Leota was sworn in yesterday as a Samoan cabinet minister, filling a vacancy created by the death of Justice Minister Seumanu Aita Ah Wa last month.

Tuu'u becomes Minister of Revenue a portfolio previously held by Hon Gaina Tino, who is now Minister of Justice.

The new cabinet member was sworn in by His Higness, the Head of State, Malietoa Tanumafili II.

Tuu'u was previously Parliamentary Undersecretary of Finance.

He had a long and successful career in the Bank of Western Samoa before joining the Treasury Department as Controller of Stores, prior to entering parliament.
