Drivers for Auckland's largest bus company will not go ahead with major strike action.
On Wednesday afternoon, NZ Bus reached a proposed settlement with the First and Tramways unions, which represent its drivers.
The parties have been at odds since May this year over the terms of a collective employment agreement.
Earlier in September, 900 drivers issued a strike notice for every Monday for a nine-week period if a decision was not reached.
This has now been averted, and union members will meet on Monday to ratify the proposed settlement.
