Police name Gisborne toddler who died from critical injuries

Police have named the Gisborne toddler who died last month as a result of critical injuries.

Police continue to appeal for information as a homicide investigation into the 19-month-old's death is ongoing.

They said the toddler suffered the critical injuries at a residential address in Te Hapara, Gisborne.

"This is a tragic start to 2022 - I would encourage anyone with information, even if they think it might not be relevant, to please come forward," said detective senior sergeant Sally Patrick.
