Hundreds of Bougainvilleans took part in this year's Peace Walk which is seen as a symbol of the region's journey of peace and reconciliation.
The march last Friday through Buka called for every Bougainvillean to seek peace by peaceful means.
The walk has been happening since 2012 after being conceived by the United Nations, the Papua New Guinea Government and the Autonomous Bougainville Government.
The Speaker of the Bougainville Parliament, Simon Pentanu, told the marchers that Bougainvilleans must wear peace on their sleeves and bear it in their hearts every day.
