Fijian fisherman's family receives compensation

Fiji's minister for employment Jone Usamate has presented a cheque for compensation to family members of Fesaitu Riamkau, who died while working on a foreign fishing vessel in Panama waters in July.

His sister, Rejieli Marieha Fagmanue, thanked the government for helping the family to repatriate the body and also for pursuing the compensation claim.

The maximum payout of almost US$25,000 was made to the family.
