One person is dead and another missing after being swept off the rocks at Raglan this morning.
Police said that the pair were fishing in the area and were reported to have been in the water about 8.45am.
The body of one person was found this afternoon, while another is still missing.
Police, Westpac Rescue Helicopter, Raglan Surf lifesavers, a fixed-wing plane and Coastguard were deployed but were unable to locate the missing person.
Further searching will take place along the shoreline at low tide, police said.
