The Crown will open its case tomorrow against an Auckland school rugby coach accused of sexual offending against boys.
Alosio Taimo has pleaded not guilty to 83 charges relating to 18 victims over the past 29 years.
Some of the offending is said to have happened in a school sports shed and at Mr Taimo's home.
The 55 year-old's trial is set to hear evidence from the victims, their family members and police officers in the High Court at Auckland.
Many of the witnesses are expected to give evidence by closed-circuit television.
The trial, before Justice Moore and a jury, is estimated to take 10 weeks.
