The final of three companies whose steel mesh failed tests and was pulled from the market is being allowed back in.
Brilliance Steel must now subject every batch of its imported seismic mesh to independent testing before it is allowed to be sold, under a deal with the Commerce Commission today.
Brilliance is the smallest of the three - the other two, Euro Corp and Steel & Tube, have already re-entered the market after signing similar testing deals.
The commission's investigation into whether they breached fair trading laws over the mesh, which they sold as meeting building standards, continues.
