Good results continue in Lucerne

11:44 am on 10 July 2010

Six New Zealand rowing crews have made the semi-finals of the World Cup regatta in blisteringly hot conditions in Lucerne.

The quarter finals followed the heats on Friday evening and saw world champion Mahé Drysdale, lightweight world champion Duncan Grant, the men's A four, Harriet Austin, the men's quad and the men's heavyweight double scull of Nathan Cohen and Joseph Sullivan all secure places in Saturday's semi-finals (local time).

It means that New Zealand will have both of its pairs, the lightweight and heavyweight men's double scull, Drysdale and Grant, Harriet Austin in the women's single, the men's quad and both of its fours in the semi-final stage with the women's quad still in with a chance of making it into the final via their rep on Saturday.
