Samoa's first Consul General in Auckland dies

Samoa's first appointed Consul General in Auckland in New Zealand has died at the age of 80.

Asi Falana'ipupu Vaimasenu'u Niko Apa had been appointed consul in 1976 after many years as a public servant.

The paramount chief of the village of Moata'a was also a senior judge of the Lands and Titles Court in recent years.
