A 10-year-old girl was held up at gunpoint during a robbery at a takeaway bar in Hamilton at the weekend.
Police say the girl was working behind the counter at the store in Dinsdale about 10pm on Saturday when a man pulled out a hand gun and demanded money from the till.
They say the offender made off on foot with a small sum of cash.
Police say adult members of the girl's family were in the shop at the time.
They say the girl will be interviewed by specialist child interviewers assisted by a translator.
