The former chairman of the England Rugby Union Martyn Thomas has stood down from his role as the Union's acting chief executive after learning he would not be facing disciplinary charges.
The RFU had commissioned a laywer to investigate whether Thomas had leaked information to the media to undermine the former CEO John Steele, who resigned following a vote of no confidence in June.
Thomas announced earlier this month that he would be standing down from all his roles with the England Union.
And next month he'll relinquish the chairmanship of the 2015 World Cup committee, and roles with the European Rugby Cup, the International Rugby Board and the Six Nations Committee.
