Three people are facing about 150 charges between them relating to a three-day vandalism spree across Wellington.
Two men, aged 21 and 25, and a 19-year-old woman have been arrested and charged with intentional damage and are expected to appear in Wellington District Court on Thursday March 7.
Sergeant Brittany Allan said the charges related to damage done between 7-9 January in Wellington's northern and western suburbs.
Bus shelters and windscreens were reportedly shattered, and rubbish bins set alight.
Allan said investigators were inundated with information from the public after putting out a call for information and video footage.
""Behaviour like this has no place in our communities," Allan said.
"People work hard and don't need the inconvenience, upset or costs associated with this mindless damage.
"Without the community's assistance, it may have taken us much longer to get to this result."
No one else was being sought in relation to the offending, Allan said.
The incidents occurred in Woodridge, Newlands, Johnsonville, Ngaio, Crofton Downs, Khandallah, Wadestown, Churton Park, Northland, Karori, Wilton and Brooklyn.
Anyone who saw illegal or suspicious behaviour was asked to phone 111 if it was happening now or 105 after the fact.
