09:00 am on 26 January 2012

A family of four has been confirmed dead after a landslide Ba in flood-striken Fiji.

FBC news reports Police have confirmed that the 35 year old father, 30 year old mother and their two daughters were in the house when the landslide occurred.

Late last night villagers reached the inside of the house but could not go any further due to the lack of power supply to the village.

A man died in Labasa and another died in Ba earlier in the week.

Authorities in Fiji will meet this morning to decide whether to declare a state of natural disaster following heavy flooding.
