An Indonesian man who attempted to smuggle asylum seekers to New Zealand in 2015 has been jailed.
The boat and crew were at the centre of allegations Australian officials paid the crew to turn back to Indonesia.

Abraham Louhenapessy, known as Captain Bram, was found guilty of people smuggling by a court in Indonesia. He was jailed for six years and fined $50,000.
He bought the boat to carry take asylum seekers to New Zealand in May 2015.
The boat was intercepted by Australian officials, who allegedly gave him and his crew $32,000 to turn back to Indonesia.
It was alleged the captain had been involved in the smuggling of more than 1000 people to Australia since 1999.
The migrants, from Bangladesh, Myanmar and Sri Lanka came ashore on Rote island in eastern Indonesia.
