Five teenagers have been caught after police spiked a fleeing vehicle in South Auckland.
A car, which police believed to be stolen, fled after being signalled to stop shortly before 1am on Friday, they said in a statement.
The Eagle helicopter followed the car through Manurewa, police said.
The vehicle was spiked before eventually coming to a stop on Cavendish Drive, where officers arrested the 16-year-old driver.
The driver and two passengers, also aged 16, will appear in the Manukau Youth Court today.
A 13-year-old and a 12-year-old were referred to Youth Aid Services.
