A new handicraft market will open in July on the main road in the Vanuatu capital, Port Vila, to cater for the large numbers of cruise ship visitors.
The market on the way to the main wharf will accommodate 118 registered women to sell their products to tourists.
It is being organised by the Vanuatu Tourism Ambassador's Office in partnership with local investors in the expectation to sell local carvings and artefacts.
The organisation expects Carnival Australia's ships to bring in half a million tourists next year.
