'Significant delays' on State Highway 1 at Wellington as roadworks run overtime

Wellington commuters using State Highway 1 on Friday morning face significant delays after overnight roadworks ran over time.

NZTA said the roadworks were "delayed in finishing", leaving the left lane by the Glenside on-ramp blocked.

That lane had now been cleared, NZTA said, but there were still long delays for motorists with queues backed up past the Transmission Gulley/SH59.
