Food prices were little changed in February, with increases in snack foods offset by falls for apples and chocolates.

They rose a seasonally adjusted 0.3 percent in February over January.
Potato chips rose 7-and-a-half percent, while crackers were up 12 percent.
Cheese prices, including those for large blocks and fancy cheese, rose about 4 percent.
Apples were down about a quarter along with the price for a box of chocolates.
