An Air New Zealand flight that was delayed by 19 hours due to an engineering problem, forcing most of its passengers to camp out overnight at Hong Kong Airport, is now en route to Auckland.
About 80 people were affected by the delay of flight NZ80, which was scheduled to leave at 7.10pm local time last night.
A spokesperson for the airline says poor weather and a big festival meant they weren't able to put up all of those affected in hotel rooms.
Most of the passengers had to sleep in the terminal but the airline said they were offered meal vouchers, blankets and pillows.
