The body of a motorcyclist has been found on a roadside in north-west Auckland a day after he was due home from an afternoon ride.
Waitemata police say the 54-year-old was riding between Glenfield and Warkworth on Saturday afternoon.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter spotted the crashed bike off West Coast Road in Makarau on Sunday afternoon.
