Police investigating a fire in which two people died in Coatesville, north-west of Auckland, have revealed it was "non-accidental".

Two people died when a fire engulfed a sleep-out.
A 13-year-old boy, Phoenix Lee Cairo Roycroft, died along with his father Lee Daniel Roycroft.

In a statement, police said they were not looking for anyone in relation to the incident.
Detective Senior Sergeant Nadene Richmond said the investigation would now be sent to the Coroner.
He said the family was being supported.
