Fiji will host the Asian Development Bank's board of governors meeting next May, the first Pacific island nation to do so.
In preparation, the permanent secretary of Fiji's civil service, Bernadette Welch, signed an agreement on Thursday with a hotel group to accommodate visitors from 62 countries.
Ms Welch said Fiji says the meeting will attract over 4000 visitors from the Asia PAcific region including more than 300 media personnel.
