Edouard Fritch has been re-elected as French Polynesia's president after his party had secured a huge majority in the assembly.
He claims that voters opted for his Tapura Huiraatira party because they want humility, stability and peace.
On his re-election day, the territorial assembly floor was first given to the other two candidates for the top job who each was allowed to speak for an hour.
