Toulon's English first five Jonny Wilkinson, who'll be remembered for his last-gasp drop goal that won the 2003 Rugby World Cup for England, has decided to retire at the end of the season.

Wilkinson is keen to end his 17 year career with twin victories, over the English club Saracens in this weekend's Heineken Cup final, then a win next week in the French Championship final against the defending champions Castres.

The 34-year-old made his Test debut in 1998 at the age of 18, becoming England's second-youngest international, and he'll retire as the second highest points scorer in Test matches, behind New Zealand's Dan Carter.
