The Solomon Islands Prime Minister, Derek Sikua, is to make an official visit to Western Province.
Today's visit is his second since taking over power from Manasseh Sogavare last month.
Dr Sikua is scheduled to meet the provincial premier Alex Lokopio and his executive before returning to Honiara tomorrow.
Last week, he visited Malaita and apologised to the people of Malaita for the offences and injustices committed against them during the recent ethnic tension.
The Solomon Islands Broadcasting Corporation says Dr Sikua had taken an early decision to visit the main provinces to show his government is committed to unite Solomon Islands
