The 20-year-old is a former junior world champion in the omnium.
Murray secures NZ Open title
Young Australian golfer Zach Murray has finished strongly to claim his maiden professional title at the New Zealand Open in Queenstown.

Murray secured a wire-to-wire win at The Hills course, shooting 21-under for the tournament and prevailing by two shots over compatriot Ashley Hall and New Zealander Josh Geary.
Murray, 21, unleashed his best golf on Sunday after losing the lead, shooting an eagle on the par-5 13th to launch an unstoppable charge for victory.
Geary produced a mixed bag in his 3-under final round 69, his five birdies and an eagle - also at the 13th - offset by four bogeys, including three in the front nine.
Steven Alker was the next best New Zealander, firing a 7-under 65 to share eighth place with Japan's Kodai Ichihara and New Zealand's Harry Bateman at 16-under for the tournament.
Ryan Fox's final round 67 left him a shot further back in a share of 11th.
Football Ferns too good for Argentina
A strong second half has earned the Football Ferns a 2-0 win over Argentina in the inaugural women's Cup of Nations in Brisbane.
After a scoreless first half, Katie Rood opened the scoring in the 50th minute, CJ Bott firing home a spectacular long-distance strike to double New Zealand's lead 20 minutes later.
The Football Ferns lost their opening match to Australia 2-0, and will now face South Korea in their third match on Wednesday in Melbourne.
All Blacks Sevens seal semis spot
The All Blacks Sevens are through to the semi-finals in the Las Vegas round of the World Series, but it took a strong second-half effort before they were able to account for Fiji 19-14 in the quarter-finals.
Sione Molia scored either side of half-time to match Jerry Tuwai's double for Fiji before Kurt Baker's 12th minute try wrapped up the win for New Zealand.
The All Blacks Sevens will meet the United States on Monday morning after they beat South Africa 29-10 in their quarter-final. Samoa edged Australia in 21-20 in their knock-out match, and will play Argentina in the semis after they accounted for England 26-21.
Dan Carter barred from French Rugby after failing medical.
The former All Black first Five Dan Carter won't make a return to French rugby.

Carter had been called back to Racing 92 as injury cover for former Springbok first five Pat Lambie.
However the 36-year-old two time World Cup winner failed a medical test.
"Racing 92 handed over certain elements of his medical dossier to the experts designated by the French National League. Their opinion was unanimous: Dan Carter can't play rugby in France," the club said a statement.

The Bullets' season is over after the defeat, their prospects damaged by the unavailability of the veteran Tall Black forward on home court.
"It was a devastating conversation with him," Lemanis said.
"He's got a partial tear in his Achilles and he didn't want me to tell anybody, and he was prepared to risk his career, play on it and hope that it didn't snap.
"That's what it meant for him and I wasn't prepared to let him do that."
Vukona has battled the injury for most of the season but Lemanis said he was threatened with a sanction from Basketball New Zealand when the Bullets wanted him rested from the recent World Cup qualifying window.

The Crusaders remain unbeaten at the top of the New Zealand Super Rugby Conference after beating the Reds 22-12 in Brisbane.

Meanwhile the Chiefs suffered their third straight loss, going down 30-15 to the Sunwolves in Hamilton and giving the Japanese side their first ever away win in the competition.
Chiefs coach Colin Cooper said his side made too many mistakes.
And in Buenos Aires, the Blues have slumped to their third straight loss of the season, beaten 23-19 by the Jaguares.

Australian racehorse Winx claimed a record 23rd Group One race win in the Chipping Norton Stakes at Royal Randwick in Sydney, adding another mark to her storied career.
The bay mare stormed home to overhaul Happy Clapper by two lengths in the 650 thousand dollar 1,600 metre race, a near-identical finish to her Group Two win over the Pat Webster-trained entrant at the Apollo Stakes at Randwick two weeks ago.
Winx's 31st win in succession pulled her past the record of 22 Group One victories she held with retired Irish gelding Hurricane Fly.
Winx is expected to race two more times, with the Queen Elizabeth Stakes in Randwick in April likely to be her swansong.
India win first ODI against Australia
Kedar Jadhav and Mahendra Singh Dhoni struck unbeaten fifties to help India pull off a tricky chase and beat Australia by six wickets in the first one-day cricket international in Hyderabad.
Needing 237 for victory, India slumped to 99-4 but Jadhav's grit and Dhoni's experience during their 141-run partnership helped India reach the target with 10 balls to spare.
Jadhav made 81 not out, his fifth ODI fifty, off 87 balls while Dhoni was unbeaten on 59.
Earlier, Australia's batsmen could not really rotate the strike and were restricted to 236-7 by India's disciplined bowling attack.
Opener Usman Khawaja top scored with 50.
The teams move to Nagpur for the second match of the five-game series on Tuesday.
McLaughlin claims first race
New Zealand driver Scott McLaughlin has made a perfect start to his Supercars title defence, claiming the season-opening race in Adelaide in his new Ford Mustang.

McLaughlin finished the 250km opener on the tough street circuit 13 seconds ahead of seven-time series winner Jamie Whincup, with his Holden teammate Shane van Gisbergen third.
The Kiwi started on the grid at third but pounced at the start, reeling in pole sitter and Ford teammate Fabian Coulthard and Whincup at the first turn.
He was never headed, at one stage holding a 55-second lead over Whincup, only to have it whittled away when he took his second and final pit stop.
McLaughlin's triumph provided the first touring car win since 1972 for Mustang, which replaced Falcons this season in all six Ford teams and has not been sighted on the grid since 1990.
