Niue Premier Dalton Tagelagi remains in isolation after becoming a close contact of a Covd-19 case who arrived on the first quarantine free flight from New Zealand last week.
Tagelagi was scheduled to travel to New Zealand, but a spokesperson for the government said he is still at home in isolation.
At this stage the premier will leave whenever he is "ready" to attend the Pacific Islands Forum in Fiji.
Mr Tagelagi was scheduled to meet with New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern this week but it is unclear whether or not that is going to happen.
A smaller delegation was set to arrive in Auckland on Tuesday.
They are set to depart for Fiji on Thursday for the Forum.
The summit of Pacific leaders' is to be held in Suva from July 12.
Niue is currently facing a growing number of Covid-19 cases at the border, ten have been detected so far.
