New Zealand companies are reaping the benefits of a boom in Chinese movie making.
Wellington-based Park Road Post Production recently helped create the soundtrack for China's highest-grossing film, Wolf Warrior 2.
The action film has earned more than $600 million in its first two weeks at the box office.
Park Road Post's chief executive, Cameron Harland, said China's domestic film industry was booming as it competed with Hollywood, and increasingly turned to New Zealand for help.
"They look to this market and say 'wow this is a place that's done world class work' but I think the other thing that comes to play is that ... there's a real integrity about working with New Zealanders.
"We absolutely delivered on what we said we would for our client and I think for those reasons they really are looking to New Zealand, perhaps more than they might look else where."
Mr Harland said this country's reputation for producing quality films such as The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings made it attractive for Chinese production companies.
