The Institute of the Pacific United (IPU) was closed after six cases of measles were confirmed there.

Vaccination clinics were set up and those infected were placed in isolation.

Another case was confirmed by the MidCentral District Health Board on Saturday, but the institute is still re-opening today, saying all of the people that the student had been in contact with were immune.
