The body of a French man who went missing while kayaking in Lake Rotorua has been recovered, police have confirmed.
The body was recovered from Sulphur Point on Lake Rotorua last Wednesday and police confirmed that it was that of the missing French kayaker.
Police said they were working closely with the French Consulate to repatriate his remains to his family in France.
The matter has been referred to the coroner.
