A man has died after falling from a kayak in Ruby Bay in the Tasman district.

Emergency services were notified at one o'clock this afternoon that a kayaker had capsized.
The man was unresponsive when located a short time later, and despite CPR he could not be revived.
The death will be referred to the coroner.
